2017 Conference

The 2017 Region VI Student Conference will be held in San Jose, CA hosted by San Jose State University

DATE: March 17-19, 2017

Conference Cost

Registration Fee*: $40

Cancellation Fee: $50

(Cancellation Deadlline: March 3, 2017)

 

*Registration fee covers meals, tour expenses, and tour transprotation.

Registration fee does not cover hotel cost. For hotel information please refer to the Hotel lnformation link under Main Menu.

AIAA Author Kit

Your paper should be prepared according to AIAA Manuscript Preparation Kit. Please note that the paper can be no longer than 11 pages single column because this is a student competition. Undergraduate and Graduate Competition papers may have up to two student authors.

Event Locations
All conference events will be held in the SJSU Student Union building, located in B3, labelled SU.
Friday:  Events will take place in the Engineering Building (labled ENG on campus map), located next to the Student Union. Check-ins will be in ENG 240 and the social event will take place in ENG 164.
Saturday: All events will be held in the Student Union. When you enter the main lobby, there will be people directing you to the conference rooms.
SundayBreakfast and morning events will be held in the Student Union. There will also be a tour to the NASA Ames Visitor Center in the afternoon. 

Room Assignments
Undergraduate presentations will be held in Ballroom A.
Team presentations will be held in Ballroom C.
Master's presentations will be held in Meeting Room 3A.

Guest Speakers and Meals will be held in Ballroom B.

Campus Parking
Visitors may purchase Single Day and Hourly permits from self-service Permit Pay-Stations located in the South Garage, North Garage and West Garage. The Pay-Stations accept coins, $1, $5, and $10 bills as well as Visa/Master Cards. 
The Parking Garages are located in A4, D1, and D2. We suggest to park in the North Street Garage (located in A4), as this is the closest garage to the Student Union.

Evenings after 5:30 pm (Monday - Friday) $5.00/day
All Day (Weekends & Holidays) $5.00/day
Overnight (Overnight permits expire at 8:00 am) $10.00/night
