Your paper should be prepared according to AIAA Manuscript Preparation Kit. Please note that the paper can be no longer than 11 pages single column because this is a student competition. Undergraduate and Graduate Competition papers may have up to two student authors.

Registration Information

Site Profile/Conference Registration

You must create a login to the site to register. This new login is different from your AIAA student membership login. Your site profile is specific to you and allows us to deliver content and features that are more customized for your specific needs. Your registration is tied to to your site profile so do not share your login with anyone.


Updatable Registration

Once you submit your registration, you can return later to review and update it, as long as registration is still open. This should give you more flexibility in deciding on your options.


Roommate Selection Tool

We provide you with a virtual roommate tool to facilitate roommate selection at the hotel. After registering, you have the option of creating a virtual room or joining a room that already exists. If you are the room owner, you may invite other conference registrants to room with you. Once you are part of a room, you also have the option to leave that room if you choose. The tool will automatically filter your roommate selection options to those that are valid for your registration.


Presentation Registration

Your registration summary page has options for adding descriptions of any presentations you may be giving at the conference. You will also be able to edit these while registration is open.  This is also where you will write your abstract (typed in a text box) as well as upload your manuscript.


A non-refundable registration fee is due to complete your registration. If a university is planning to pay the fees for their students conference administrators MUST BE NOTIFIED during registration (before registration closes).  Any registrations not paid by the closing date may be cancelled for being incomplete.

A delegate wishing to bring a spouse may do so but will receive no reimbursal for the spouse's expenses. Spouses and guests are welcome at all of the technical sessions.  They may attend the field trip, the luncheon and the banquet provided tickets are reserved in advance on your registration. Money for spouse/guest tickets should be paid online with the regsitration fees.  If there is limited space for any optional event student attendees will be given priority.
